We recently carried out this new office refurb for a tech company in Brighton. The brief from the designer was Scandi minimalist meets rustic surf shack. We really enjoyed working closely with the designer to help make some very unique pieces that were in there budget using simple methods but don to a vey high standard. I think we captured the brief beautifully and we are very happy how it turned out. So were our clients. We made for them 32 one person desks. All a uniform size but with different design finishes. 16 were Vinyl top finishes in the company colours, all with birch ply edging. 2 polished concrete, 2 raw steel tops with birch ply edges and 12 waxed and oiled birch ply desks also. All of which had welded raw steel legs and frame. One burnt scaffold board Coffee table with same designed legs but chunkier and taller so you could sit at with a stool. Two dining tables made from birch ply. We then coloured and oiled it to really bring out the grain. A simple way to get a great effect. Two scaffold board to tables for a communal working area. Repeated steel leg design throughout. Finally 2 x 3.2m Room dividers made from Chipbaord, MDF. And shelf edges were finished off with strips of raw steel rust on. Cupords made up the bottom half and top halves were accessible from both sides as not t overpower the room but yet zone off particular working areas.
